The Optus Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband service is supplied in accordance with the terms of the Optus Mobile Internet Standard Form of Agreement. To use the service you need to credit your pre-paid account in advance and recharge the service as the current credit is used up. You will not be sent any bills, invoices or statements. You must comply with these terms including our Acceptable Use Policy (Appendix H) when using the service. The Optus Pre-Paid Mobile Internet service is a Pre-Paid Broadband Internet service and provides access to the Internet and related services. The service provides a connection to the Internet via the Optus Mobile 3G or dual band networks. The service is only available for use with an Optus supplied Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband SIM card and a wireless data modem. The Optus supplied wireless data modem is a USB modem (E160e). You may use your own wireless data modem if it is approved for use on the Optus 3G or dual band network. Optus Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband service may only be used as a data service. You must meet the minimum system requirements as per the Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband packaging to connect to the service. Subject to your rights under the Trade Practices Act, Optus does not make any warranty regarding the software or data provided to you as it operates on your computer and interacts with your other applications. Optus Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband application shows approximate usage only. Modem is compatible with the MAC computers OS 10.4 or above.

Usage: The first 30MB of usage per day will be charged at 10MB. Usage after this will be counted in 10MB increments and includes both uploads and downloads. $30, $40, $50 Vouchers expire 30 days from activation, $70, $100 Vouchers expire 60 days from activation. Maximum data allowance is 10GB. If you recharge over this amount, you will forfeit any data over the 10GB limit. If you require additional SMS messages, you must purchase either another recharge voucher or a text saver voucher. Free standard SMS can only be sent to Australian GSM Mobile or Mobile Broadband services. 1 SMS = 160 characters.

Maximum theoretical download speed on dual band networks is up to 3.6Mbps. Customers can expect speeds between 512Kbps and 1.5 Mbps. Actual speeds will vary and may be slower. Many factors affect speeds such as your distance from the mobile tower, the capacity and load of the mobile tower, which bearer you are currently using (GSM, 3G, or dual band), your hardware and software, the source of your download, and general internet traffic. The service is subject to network availability. For technical and commercial reasons not all areas receive coverage and not available in NT and TAS. Modem is locked to Optus network for 12 months from activation unless you recharge to a minimum $100

Optus dual band service: The Optus dual band Network refers to our 3G 2100/900 MHz network. To access the dual band network you’ll require a dual band handset or device. Optus dual band handset / device can provide access to 3G services in the Optus dual band coverage area – outside these areas, service will fall back to our Optus GSM/GPRS network. To access Optus’ 3G services, you will require a 2100 MHz band compatible handset and be within an Optus 3G coverage area. For full coverage information please go to optus.com.au/coverage. Optus Connect N' Go Recharge Vouchers

$15 recharge voucher will be counted at $1.02 per 10MB to give you 500MB and if you purchase the recharge online you will also receive up to 75MB bonus data with a 15 days expiry and SMS will be charged at $0.25 per standard national SMS. $30 Recharge Voucher will give you up to 1GB of data and 15 free standard national SMS and if you purchase the recharge online you will also receive up to 150MB bonus data with a 30 days expiry; $40 Recharge Voucher will give you up to 2GB of data and 20 free standard national SMS and if you purchase the recharge online you will also receive up to 300MB bonus data with a 30 days expiry; $50 Recharge Voucher will give you up to 3GB of data and 25 free standard national SMS and if you purchase the recharge online you will also receive up to 450MB bonus data with a 30 days expiry; $70 Recharge Voucher will give you up to 4GB of data and 35 free standard national SMS and if you purchase the recharge online you will also receive up to 600MB bonus data with a 60 days expiry; $100 Recharge Voucher will give you up to 6GB of data and 50 free standard national SMS and if you purchase the recharge online you will also receive up to 900MB bonus data with a 60 days expiry. $80 Recharge Voucher will give you up to 4GB of data and 100 free standard national SMS and if you purchase the recharge online you will also receive up to 600MB bonus data with a 186 days expiry; $130 Recharge Voucher will give you up to 8GB of data and 100 free standard national SMS and if you purchase the recharge online you will also receive up to 1.2GB bonus data with a 186 days expiry.
