Thuraya Satellite Plans
The Optus Thuraya Service allows you, when selected with a Thuraya Satellite Plan below, to make and receive calls right across Australia with line of sight to the Thuraya Satellite. GSM calls will be charged as per the nominated rate plan, and Satellite calls charged at the Thuraya Satellite rates.
Satphone Subsidy
The Satellite Phone Subsidy Scheme is available to approved applicants who live, work or operate a business in an area not served by Terrestrial 3G or GSM mobile networks in all states and territories. The Scheme provides eligible applicants with a one-off subsidy of up to $1000 (inc GST) towards the purchase of a mobile satellite phone. Subsidy scheme is open until 30 June, 2013 (conditions apply).
