Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband
Mobile Broadband Connect Plan for Micro-Sim is only available to
customers accessing the internet from within Australia, solely through an
Apple® iPad Wifi+ 3G device. For personal use only. Excludes use whilst
overseas, usage for commercial purposes and Peer-to-Peer usage. Unlimited
data voucher:Any data or credit on your service must will be used before
unlimited data can be accessed. No rollover on Unlimited data expires after 30
days. The Optus Acceptable Usage Policy applies. With a 3G (2100MHz) device,
coverage in Optus 3G coverage areas subject to network availability. Not

Maximum data allowance at anytime is 15GB. If you recharge over this amount, you will forfeit any data over the 15GB excludes unlimited voucher.

The Optus Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband service is supplied in accordance with the terms of the Optus Mobile Internet Standard Form of Agreement. To use the service you need to credit your pre-paid account in advance and recharge the service as the current credit is used up. You will not be sent any bills, invoices or statements. You must comply with these terms including our Acceptable Use Policy (Appendix H) when using the service. The Optus Pre-Paid Mobile Internet service is a Pre-Paid Broadband Internet service and provides access to the Internet and related services. The service provides a connection to the Internet via the Optus Mobile 3G or Dual Band networks, depending on the device/modem used. The service is only available for use with an Optus supplied Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband SIM card and a wireless data modem. You may use your own Mobile Broadband device if it is approved for use on the Optus 3G or Dual Band networks. Optus Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband service may only be used as a data service. You must meet the minimum system requirements as per the Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband packaging to connect to the service. Subject to your rights under the Trade Practices Act, Optus does not make any warranty regarding the software or data provided to you as it operates on your computer and interacts with your other applications. Optus Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband application shows approximate usage only. Stocks are limited and only available at participating outlets.
Usage: The first 30MB of usage per day will be charged at 10MB. Usage after this will be counted in 10MB increments and includes both uploads and downloads. $30, $40, $50 Vouchers expire 30 days from activation, $70, $100 and $130 Vouchers expire 60 days from activation, $80 Vouchers expire 186 days from activation. If you recharge over this amount, you will forfeit any data over the 10GB limit. If your device supports SMS: additional SMS messages can be purchased with either another recharge voucher or a text saver voucher. Free standard can only be sent to Australian GSM Mobile or Mobile Broadband services. 1 SMS = 160 characters. If SMS is not available to you, you can check your balance and service number at www.optuszoo.com.au/wirelessusage. You will need your service number to recharge.

The service is a Broadband Internet service and provides access to the Internet and related services, subject to network availability and serviceability. The service provides a connection to the Internet via the Optus 3G (2100MHz) or the Optus Dual Band (2100/900MHz) mobile networks, see www.optus.com.au/coverage. Optus compatible dual band devices can provide access to 3G services in the Optus Dual Band coverage area. Optus compatible 3G (2100MHz) devices can provide access to 3G services only in the Optus 3G coverage area.
The service is available to residential customers who connect to a Optus Mobile Broadband service on a month to month contract. All applications for the service are subject to Optus credit assessment, and acceptance. The service is only available for use with a compatible wireless data device and an Optus supplied SIM card. An Optus supplied Mobile Broadband data device is either a Computer with a dual band (2100/900MHz) imbedded modem (Dual band imbedded modem option), a USB modem (a Roamer device) or a fixed wireless modem (InZone device). If you choose to use an Optus supplied Mobile Broadband data device we may charge you an upfront fee and/or a monthly fee for that device for the term of the agreement. You should check the standard pricing plan for details of charges that will apply. If you choose to use your own Mobile Broadband data device (BYO) to access the service, the operation of the device, and any repairs to it, is your responsibility.If you choose to connect to the service using your own modem, Optus may not be able to provide you technical support for that particular modem and reserves the right to refer you to the modem manufacturer for technical assistance at your own expense.
Optus Mobile Broadband plans may only be used as a data plan. You should not use the supplied SIM to access (and may not be able to access) other services such as Voice calls, International voice calls, Voice Mail, International SMS, premium and Third Party SMS, MMS, International MMS, 1300, 1900. If you are able to access such services, your use of such services will be charged at prevailing rates. Data usage will be counted in kilobytes, where 1024kb = 1MB and includes both uploads and downloads.
Your pricing plan may set out a maximum amount of included data that you can use to download and upload in a billing month. If you exceed your plans included monthly data allowance, additional excess usage will be charged at an additional $0.06 per MB or part thereof. Subject to the device you are using, you may be able to obtain an indication of your megabyte usage via the Optus on-line usage feature in member services. Customers using devices that cannot access Optus member services should call Customer Care for their usage balance. Any unused data allowance cannot be rolled over. If the supplied SIM card is used in an alternate device (such as a different Optus wireless device or in an Optus mobile phone), usage will count towards your plan's data allowance.
Optus Yes Coverage Commitment (YCC) applies; if coverage is not to your satisfaction, you will need to contact us within 7 days of activation to cancel your service. No cancellation fees will apply. You will only be charged for your usage, pro-rated access fee and device charges if applicable. If you received a Mobile Broadband device from us you will need to return the device at your own cost. Optus will send you a letter instructing you on how to return the device, which you must return within 14 days of issue date of the letter to avoid equipment charges if applicable. YCC is a special promotion that is available until withdrawn by Optus. Faulty devices are not covered by this YCC but statutory warranties still apply. Software Requirements: You must meet the minimum system requirements as per the wireless data device packaging to connect to the service. To be an account holder you must be over 18 years of age or if not, have obtained the consent of a parent, teacher or other responsible adult. We are not responsible for any Internet content that may be obtained via the service. We reserve the right to delete any username that we consider offensive, defamatory, illegal or otherwise inappropriate.
You must ensure that the software you use with the service is properly licensed. Subject to the agreement, you must not resell, share or otherwise distribute the service to a third party. We may monitor your account to ensure you are complying with the agreement. We will investigate misuse of the service. If we find that you have misused the service we may recover from you any costs of investigating the misuse and any compensation we are required to pay to another user as a result of your misuse. If you move premises before the end of the minimum term and you maintain your service at the new address we will not charge you a cancellation fee. If you move premises before the end of the minimum term and you do not wish to continue receiving the service, we will cancel the service and charge you a cancellation fee. You must give us at least 30 days notice of your new address.
