Is AutoRoam™ active on my account?
AutoRoam™ is automatically active for Pre-Paid; however you must have valid (and sufficient) MyCredit or MyBonus funds in order to roam overseas. If you ever need to activate or deactivate Optus AutoRoam free call 1503 from your Optus mobile phone. The service is available 24x7 and will confirm your status via SMS.

How much does Pre-Paid AutoRoam™ cost?
Pre-Paid AutoRoam™ is free to activate on your account and you are only charged when you make or receive calls while overseas. The costs are based on the Pre-Paid offer you are connected to and where you are travelling to. You can use either your MyCredit or MyBonus to AutoRoam™.

Top tips for when you AutoRoam

1. Ensure you have enough credit to roam overseas

2. Check your rates below before you use your mobile overseas - you can visit www.optustalkitup.com.au and request an SMS to be sent to you with rates to call Australia and SMS/MMS rate from the country you’re travelling in

3. To avoid accidental use and unnecessary roaming charges, remember to lock your mobile’s keypad after use

4. If you’re unsure what your charges are and need help while you’re travelling, please call Customer Care on +61 2 8082 5678 (50¢ per call)

GPRS usage charge is $1.32 / 60 KB with a 22c Flagfall.

From 23rd March 2010, there will be new rates for GPRS usage when roaming.

• NEW Turbo Cap - $6.60 per 60kb (+ 22c flagfall)
• Data Blaster - $3.96 per 60kb (+ 22c flagfall)
• All other plans remain at $1.32 / 60 KB (+ 22c flagfall).

As an Optus Pre-Paid customer, you can:

• Access VoiceMail by calling 321 (international call charges apply) or SMS 'A' to 321 and VoiceMail will call you back (standard roaming charges apply)~
• Check your balance – SMS 'balance' to 9999 (no charge)
• Top-up using a credit card by calling 444 (no charge) or recharge online at any time
• Plus for any assistance while overseas, you can call +61 2 8082 5678 (50c per call). For your convenience, all your overseas charges are deducted from your Pre-Paid account balance (MyCredit and MyBonus) in Australian dollars in real time!
