BlackBerry Internet Solution
The 'Minimum Total Cost' is set out in the table below plus the cost of your
Handset, if any. If you choose a 24 Month Plan, and your service is
disconnected for any reason or you switch carriers within this payment period,
you will be required to pay the remaining amount on your handset, if any, plus
the applicable 'Termination Fee'.
GENERAL
BlackBerry $79 Cap Plan: Available on 24 month
contract only and includes up to $300 of voice and text and unlimited
BlackBerry Email and Internet browsing through the BlackBerry Internet Browser
and/or the BlackBerry Browser. If you exceed $300 worth of voice calls and text
messages in any billing period, standard call and text rates of your plan will
apply. You will pay the first $79 worth of national and international voice
calls and text, national MMS, Voicemail, PTT and 124YES (937) each billing
period, after which these services are free up to a maximum of the ‘included
value’ per billing period. You will be charged this minimum spend even if you
do not reach $79 worth of national and international voice calls and text,
national MMS, Voicemail, PTT and 124YES (937). This offer cannot be combined
with ‘yes’ thanks or any other promotional offer and excludes some services,
including Optus Zoo, international roaming, international SMS, premium and
Third Party SMS/MMS, international MMS, Operator assisted calls, Mobilesat
calls, Iterra calls, 1300, 1900 and other services. Unused value does not
rollover into the following month. Minimum total cost on the BlackBerry
$79 Cap Plan including handset repayments over 24-months is $2376 for the
BlackBerry Bold and $1896 for the BlackBerry Pearl Flip. BlackBerry $79 Cap is
only available to eligible customers as defined by Optus connecting to the
Optus Mobile Digital service. Optus Pre-Paid, MobileSat, service provider
customers, or corporate customers are not eligible. Not available in
conjunction with single bill or e-bill products. If your service is
disconnected for any reason or you switch carriers within the 24 months, you
will be required to pay the remaining amount on your handset, if any, plus the
following. 'Termination Fee': For new customers from 1 September 2009
for termination between months 1-12 is $715 and between months 13-24 an amount
in accordance with the following percentages of the initial termination fee:
for months 13-15, 80%; for months 16-18, 60%; for months 19-21, 40%; for months
22-24, 20%. For any customer who connected prior to 1 September 2009 for
termination between months 1-12 is $415 and between months 13-24 an amount in
accordance with the following percentages of the initial termination fee: for
months 13-15, 80%; for months 16-18, 60%; for months 19-21, 40%; for months
22-24, 20%. Blackberry Internet & Email: Includes email traffic and
Internet access through the Blackberry Internet Browser and/or the BlackBerry
browser up to the specified limit. Optus FairGo policy applies. Use of other
services will be charged at the rates specified in the Optus standard
agreement. †Excess Usage: If you exceed the standard data usage
allowance of your plan, excess usage charges of $0.5 cents/kb will apply.
‘yes’ Blackberry Lite includes unlimited use of POP3 email
only for the monthly access fee of $9.99. Use of the Blackberry Browser,
applications from Optus and third party applications that require a Data
connection will be blocked from use. For technical and commercial reasons not
all eligible customers will be able to connect to Yes BlackBerry Lite.
Unlimited POP3 email is subject to the Optus Mobile Fair Go (TM) policy. If you
select Yes Blackberry Lite, you will not able to view your monthly usage prior
to receiving your bill. Customers who cancel Yes Blackberry Lite during a
billing month will be refunded the unused amount as credit onto their existing
eligible Optus plan to which the Yes Blackberry Lite acted as a bolt on.
'yes' BlackBerry Email includes unlimited use of POP3 email
only. Use of the BlackBerry Browser, applications from Optus and third party
applications that require a Data connection will be limited to 512MB. Excess
charges over this limit will be charged at $0.005 per KB. Unlimited POP3 email
is subject to the Optus Mobile Fair Go™ policy. International data roaming
usage is specifically excluded from the usage allowance. If you select the
'Yes' BlackBerry,Email you will not able to view your monthly usage prior to
receiving your bill.
'yes' BlackBerry Lite and 'Yes' BlackBerry Email are only
available to eligible customers as defined by Optus connecting to the Optus
Mobile Digital service. Optus Pre-Paid, MobileSat, service provider customers,
or corporate customers are not eligible. Not available in conjunction with
single bill or e-bill products. The BlackBerry and RIM families of related
marks, images and symbols are the exclusive properties of and trademarks or
registered trademarks of Research In Motion Limited – used by permission.
International data roaming usage is specifically excluded from the usage
allowance of the 'yes' Blackberry plans.
Paper Invoice Fee: A $2.20 (inc GST) fee will apply if you choose to
receive a paper bill posted to you. To avoid this fee you may change to an
electronic bill sent to you by email by enrolling at optus.com.au/myoptusaccount.
Electronic bills will be phased in over time and may not be available to you
immediately. If electronic billing is not available to you, we won’t charge you
the fee. Optus will write to you to advise you of the availability of
electronic billing and before any fee is charged. Credit Card Fee: If
you use a credit, charge or debit card to pay your bill, a 1.0% fee (inc GST)
will be charged. This payment processing fee will be shown on your next Optus
bill after the payment has been processed. Exemptions may apply. Australia
Post: If you pay your account at an Australia Post outlet, you will be
charged an account processing fee of $0.55 (inc GST).
Text Messages (SMS): 1. Charged at 25¢ per message sent of
up to 160 characters, per recipient. 2. International SMS charged at 50¢ per
message sent of up to 160 characters, per recipient. 3. Message charges may be
incurred for up to eight days from the original send date regardless of
successful delivery or not. 4. SMS cannot be sent to MobileSat customers. Photo
Message (MMS): 1 . National MMS is charged at 50¢ per message sent, per
recipient. 2. International MMS charged at 75¢ per message sent, per recipient.
3. Optus Email MMS is charged at 50¢ per message sent (one message can be sent
to multiple recipients). 4. Charges apply regardless of successful delivery or
not. 5. If an MMS message is sent to a handset or network that is not Optus MMS
enabled or compatible, the message recipient will be sent an SMS directing the
customer to go to www.optus.com.au/zoo to view their
message. You will still be charged for sending an MMS.
3G refers to our 2100MHz Network. Optus 3G handsets can provide access to 3G
services only in the Optus 3G coverage area. Outside these areas, service will
fall back to our Optus GSM/GPRS network. For full coverage information, please

Diversions: charged at 5.5¢ per 30 seconds within Australia plus
international call rates for overseas. Directory Assistance/1223: charged at
50¢ per call 124YES: charged at $1.10 per call plus the standard local call
rates. Operator Assistance: charged public network rates plus an airtime
surcharge of 11¢ per 30 seconds (7am-8pm , Mon-Sat) and 5.5¢ per 30 seconds
other times. AutoRoam™: available to Optus Mobile Digital services. Must be
arranged before going overseas and activation is subject to acceptance by
Optus. Optus makes no warranty regarding the quality and availability of
coverage or any services. It may take several months for roaming charges to
appear on your mobile tax invoice.

Online sales. If you choose a 24 Month Plan, and your service is disconnected
for any reason or you switch carriers within this payment period, you will be
required to pay the remaining amount on your handset, if any, plus the
applicable 'Termination Fee'.
